Community Poll: Best Winter Fragrances For Men

So About a month ago, I had a little Community tab poll or really just a question: “What is the best winter men’s fragrance in your opinion?” I went through the comment section and looked at some of the most repetitive answers. We’re going to be talking about the 10 best men’s winter fragrances according to you.

1. Parfums de Marly Carlisle

Parfums de Marly Carlisle - best winter fragrances for men

One of the most mentioned for the best winter fragrances for men on this list has to be Carlisle from Parfums de Marly. Carlisle is one of the best men’s winter fragrances of all time, and to be honest with you guys, Carlisle is something I can absolutely respect and agree with. Carlisle is a tobacco-patchouli-based fragrance with a very nice and dense base sweetness as well.

I will say though that this is not something that has much of a youthful or compliment factor really, but rather, it has a sexy, serious, date-night vibe for sure. It smells like money, but it’s a grown man’s fragrance with earthy vibes—a super sexy fragrance. Personally, I wouldn’t say that this is my favorite Parfums de Marly from the entire collection, nor one I think you should start with. Instead, I think you should start with another fragrance that was mentioned a lot, from Parfums de Marly.

2. Parfums de Marly Layton

Parfums de Marly Layton

Layton is one of the top three fragrances mentioned frequently. I find it easier to start off with than Carlisle because of its versatility, appealing to a broader age range. Layton really reminds me of apple pie vibes—super sexy—and it also has a mentholated undertone that some people notice. For me personally, it’s not off-putting at all, and I still think it’s a super sexy fragrance.

I’ve received many compliments while wearing Layton, and I’ve worn it as a signature scent, even in warmer weather. The versatility on that one is much greater than something like Carlisle, or even the next fragrance that people voted for: Parfums de Marly Wajan.

3. Parfums de Marly Oajan

Parfums de Marly Oajan

Oajan is one of the third-best winter fragrances for men of all time on this list. Parfums de Marly has a lot of great fragrances. Wajan is a spicy cinnamon bomb with earthy nuances and some sweetness in the base. It’s not as easy to wear compared to some others, and it’s more of a special occasion fragrance.

At first, I had a hard time with its DNA, but after some time, I got addicted to it. Wajan has become one of my favorite cinnamon-based fragrances.

4. Mercedes-Benz Club Black

Mercedes-Benz Club Black

Number four in the list of best winter fragrances for men, believe it or not, is Mercedes-Benz Club Black, and I agree with this one. Mercedes-Benz Club Black has to be one of the best vanilla-based fragrances. I stayed away from it for a while because I didn’t expect much from a Mercedes-Benz fragrance, but it turned out to be amazing.

It even competes with another Arabian oud vanilla-based fragrance I own called Tartiel Silver. Mercedes-Benz Club Black is a really good fragrance, perfect for the colder seasons and even during spring and fall.

5. Dior Homme Intense

Dior Homme Intense

The next fragrance that got a lot of votes is Dior Homme Intense. I respect this one, though it’s not my personal favorite. It has a sexy, seductive vibe, with notes of pear, musk, ambrette, and a buttery lipstick-type iris. It’s addictive, though sometimes it gives me a headache.

However, this list is about your favorites, not mine, and Dior Homme Intense is one that I absolutely respect.

6. Spicebomb Extreme

Spicebomb Extreme

Another fragrance that made it onto this list is Spicebomb Extreme, and it’s no surprise. I agree with this pick—it’s one of the best men’s fragrances of all time. With notes of vanilla and spices, it has mass appeal, especially among fans of spicy best winter fragrances for men.

7. Xerjoff Naxos

Xerjoff Naxos

The next one frequently mentioned is Xerjoff Naxos. This fragrance is a light, yet long-lasting, ambery honey tobacco fragrance. It’s a more natural-smelling tobacco scent, perfect for spring and fall, rather than winter. It performs exceptionally well in those seasons.

8. Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir

Jean paul gaultier le male elixir was another fragrance that got a lot of mentions. It’s one of the most interesting recent releases. While my initial love for it has faded a little, I still think it’s one of the best in the Le Male DNA. I’m surprised Ultra Male didn’t pop up on this list, but Le Male Elixir deserves its spot here.

9. Tom Ford Noir Extreme

Tom Ford Noir Extreme

Tom Ford’s Noir Extreme also made the list of best winter fragrances for men, and it’s well-deserved. This fragrance is relevant now and will remain relevant for years to come. It’s a great vanilla spice fragrance that will be hard to beat. I don’t wear it as often as I’d like, but it’s still an amazing fragrance.

10. Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum

Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum

Last but not least, Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum was mentioned often as well. This amber, toffee, gourmand fragrance is perfect for date nights and colder weather. It’s sweet, sexy, and one of the best men’s winter fragrances, hands down.
